Sling chair with polished chrome plated or mat black enamel steel frame. Seat and back: ponyskin or cowskin (black leather arms); Russian red leather (matching arms); black leather (matching arms).
This design aimed to develop an anonymous design for a piece of furniture an “objet-type”, in this case referring to the typical safari chair which LC1 recalls with its shape, moveable arms, and backrest. There are three versions of this chair which were all designed for dierent uses: the model that was shown at the Salon d’Automne in 1929, the version created for Villa Church in 1928, and another version created for the 1930 exhibition the Union des Artistes Modernes. An outdoor version is also available for this model.
