In collaboration with the ATELIER KUNC architectural studio, we participated in the project of Garden Villa; a family residence in Prague suburbs, which won the prestigious Interior of the Year 2023 award in the category Private Interior - New Construction.
Within the project, the architects further developed the concept and possibilities of living in the garden. They purposefully conceived the villa with a bungalow floor plan standing on a cascading 4000 m² plot as an open space flowing freely from the interior, through the terraces, to the exterior.
As the architects like to point out, "We recognise that living doesn't end at home." In the case of Garden Villa, one is of the impression that is almost literally the case. Thanks to the transparent glass walls, every room offers a view of the greenery; inviting to step outside. The organic feel and tranquil atmosphere is further enhanced by the sophisticated choice of natural materials in earthy tones, such as oak floors, beige slatted tiles, travertine and honey-coloured slatted ceilings.
Furniture from our portfolio of brands is incorporated into both indoor and outdoor spaces. Indoors, for example, the Peanut sofa by Bonaldo or the Occo table by Walter Knoll. There are also the Eames Plastic DAR dining chairs from Vitra or garden furniture from Tribù.
